Basically
everyday was normal. We had a ton of eating appointments with the Bornemann
family, which was incredible!! I love that family so much!! Their son Joshua
wants to play soccer with us (or maybe it's just that we really want to play
with him, but that's ok).
Tuesday, we
did some finding and tried setting up some appointments. We also tried to
officially/legally move into Kolding, but we couldn't so that was awkward.
Especially because we're still living here.
On
Wednesday, Ældste Weaver and I shot up to Horsens to get my biometrics done. We
waited for two hours and then got it done in 15 minutes. Then we came back to
Fredericia to eat with Nina Fonnesbech (a member) and she told us her
conversion story. Then we started some splits with the Zone Leaders but we just
went contacting.
Thursday was
also crazy. We had District Meeting at noon so we studied before. Then Ældste
Foulger and Ældste Moulton came for splits with the Zone Leaders. We had a
lesson with Rosa, to which Jens Sørensen came with us. It was a good lesson.
Rosa isn't super positive, but likes talking. Jens was super helpful though and
he invited her to drive to church with him!! Yay for member missionaries!!
On Friday,
we did a lot of finding. It was good practice! We also had an eating
appointment with Niels Nielsen's family. They’re awesome too! It's hilarious
being in this ward! Everyone is just so normal/weird with the missionaries!
We're just all best friends!
Saturday was
interesting as well. We wanted to have soccer with Joshua Bornemann that
morning, but it got cancelled because we started actually planning at 10 on
Friday night. But we then got transfer calls. The rumor was that Kolding would
be downsized to a 2 man. Which rumor was shattered by President a last week
when he just texted all of us and told us it would stay a 4 man. So I assumed I
would be staying here, and I was right. However, Ældste Saviano is also staying!
That was unexpected. The four man is now Ældste Preece (as the new Zone Leader)
and my companion is Ældste Schaffer!! We were also told that we wouldn't be
going out of our area much the next transfer, because we are getting less
travel funds. So basically, we've been secluded fifteen minutes from the
majority of the ward... The rest of the day was decent. We did some Weekly
Planning and then some finding.
Sunday was
basically overtaken by the ward. We had an amazing Testimony meeting where
almost every person who got up testified of missionary work. We had four
missionaries leaving the ward (including Sister Baird who is going home).
Person after person stood and bore testimony of how the missionaries had served
them in a variety of ways! It was incredible!! We all felt super loved! We had
an eating appointment with Ketcha and Poul, which was awesome!!
Spiritual
thought: Be amazing! pray!
