"Days in the Sun" (Or The Kolding Trio Pt II w/ a Giant Chocolate Egg)

My title comes from a wonderful movie that I was fortunate to see before the mission. I randomly had it pop into my mind as I was writing in my journal a few nights ago and it actually describes this week really well! The weather is incredible!! It's been pretty windy, but it's sunny and warm and wonderful!! Not much else has been different honestly. (I also have about 15 minutes to write this email, so I apologize that it will be short.)

Last Monday, we did some really fun things!! We watched the rest of General Conference as a district and then we were picked up to go to Katja and Poul's house!! They had organized an Easter Egg hunt for us!! It was pretty fun. It was basically just fun because it was different and weird. We got quite a bit of candy and had a great time! We were talking for a long time though, and we needed to leave... So I started doing the dishes. We got out but had to make a stop at the church because of some Zone things. Which also turned into a couple of us playing basketball and soccer (in white shirts and ties, of course). Ældste Gottfredson and I beat Ældste Hunt and Ældste Cannon in basketball, so we're pretty good. ;)

Tuesday was pretty basic, so awesome. The Zone Leaders were hosting Ældste Myers and Ældste Newton for splits, so it was fun to hang out with them in the evening. We went through some dramatic finding where we starting knocking some opganges that were miraculously unlocked, but then some people told us to leave and would escort us out of the building. That was quite annoying. later, we knocked into a young girl named Lina who is incredibly believing!! She wasn't able to give us her phone number, but her parents said we could stop by again! We also talked to a super nice old couple, Anders and Inga. They had some close beliefs to us, but didn't want to change or learn more. That was about it.

Wednesday rolled around and was a nother weird finding day. There was a guy we contacted on the gågade that said to meet him back there the next day, so that was interesting. We had some sad knocking in the morning which included a guy getting upset that I was talking to him while he was laying bricks. But then a family said we needed to come back for cake some day. Then Ældste Preece headed to Copenhagen for his My Plan meeting, so we got the Kolding Trio again!! We did some knocking and found a guy who was really close friends with a member in Esbjerg!! His name is Kenneth, who said we should come back the next day. That evening we just talked and then smashed our giant chocolate Easter Egg. It was pretty fun!

Thursday was incredible! We had our trio for most of the day, so we made the most of it! We started with meeting Sanjo again (the guy on the gågade). He was actually pretty interested, but didn't have much time. We weren't able to get his contact information, sadly. But we stopped by a potential named Molly and she was home! We had to schedule a different time that day. So we went back to Kenneth! He's really cool, but he isn't super interested in learning and acting. We'll see what happens with him. Then we went back to Molly and she was decently positive! She took a Book of Mormon and enjoyed the lesson. She also made a return appointment!! Then we went and stopped by Rosa. We just talked and watched a general conference talk with her. We invited her to a baptism service this Saturday, but she said she was taking a week break of spiritual things, so she's kind of on hold. Right after that ended, we biked back to Ældste Preece at the train station! That evening went by really fast too.

Friday was definitely a day. We had some awkward knocking times in the morning, which wasn't too exciting. We had a combined District Meeting that afternoon and then came home for studies. District Meeting was with the Zone leaders and STL's and was on "Operation: Sharpen Up!" It was basically making sure that everything in the apartment is in ship shape.

Saturday was normal. We taught Finn the Plan of Salvation. We were able to have Jens along with. It was a really cool lesson actually!! He accepted it and had some awesome questions!!

Due to lack of time, I will continue the week next week... I lived through the whole week!! Thanks everyone!!
