Are you busy this week? Nah, it's fine...

This week was just busy, all the time. It was honestly weird.

Monday, we had our District Activity which was best coupled with District Meeting to save travel time (for the Sønderborg Ældster). So we had the Zone Leaders over as well, and talked about the Zone Focus (Agents Unto Themselves) and discussed General conference. Then we headed to Fanø! (Just when you thought you hadn't been on islands enough!) It was super fun! We ran around (or hiked) on some hills and the beach. It was really pretty!

Tuesday, we taught David! It was super fun! He only had a half hour (time efficient!) which was basically spent asking us questions and then interrupting us with another before we could finish the long answer. But he really likes meeting and said he'd start reading before we could meet another half hour next week! So that was really fun! We also taught Snorri again. We're not sure if being taught is actually helping him. So we're going to try and help him come to church to see if he's serious. Then we went out knocking and such before we had Coordination Meeting (which included a lot of trunky talk because it was Søster Wilkerson's last week). Then after that, we made burgers with the youth!! It was super fun and they tasted great!

Wednesday, we met with a member named Hanne Ludwig (Lull-vee, it's danish, don't ask). She was happy to have us, so she fed us smørbrød! Then we met with Kim, who we haven't been able to meet for a long time! And now he is leaving for Thailand. But he does want to be baptized, so that's good! After that, we had an eating appointment with Kirsten and Carl Johan Grabe (who Ældste Jensen's grandpa baptized). It was quite hyggeligt. We had a bunch of finding around all those activities, but nothing really stands out.

Thursday, we did some service for Kirsten Grabe which was basically cultivating some ground for some grass seed. It went really fast and was quite fun! We also had a church tour for some religion students! Martin gave the tour, but us missionaries were there to answer questions and such. It was super cool!! They had visited five other churches that day, and had really good questions and comments! It was really cool! We had some good knocking where a family gave us a specific time to come back, super excited for that! Then contacted on our way to meet with Steffan, and talked to some cool people. Steffan's was fun. He's still very undecided, but wants at least to have communication with us. We're still deciding the best route of action for him.

Friday, we got Ældste Jensen his own NemID, which is just a security card the government requires you to have. Then we went out contacting, which was really fun! There were some cool people and some random little roller coaster put up in the square (which is called Torvet). We then met with Thomas and watched some conference talks. And to end the evening, we met with Kaj in the church. The Bishop was supposed to come along to invite Kaj to baptism, but he had too many things going on so we rescheduled when he could come. But we had a super spiritual lesson with Kaj and now he's praying about a baptismal date! So we're hoping and praying that this can be a turning point for him. He said he "felt something" after he prayed about it, so he just needs to commit!

Saturday was crazy! Transfer calls came that morning. Ældste Jensen is headed off to Horsens, as I get to stay and work with Ældste Tyler Bailey!!! We lived in the same room at the MTC, so I'm super stoked! We contacted and then had Workshops! It's a day the ward (apparently) has every year. The 3 little classes were about a half hour each, and people just chose which one they wanted. One was the missionaries (us four) where we taught about the area's goal "Bring a Friend" (Tag en Ven med). It was really good, and we discussed a talk by Elder Ballard from April 2003 about Member missionary work. Good stuff! We also had some awesome food and then played some board games after. I played some mean chinese checkers with some active and less active members, which was cool!

Sunday went quickly and busily! We had church, where everyone said goodbye to Ældste Jensen and Søster Wilkerson. It was pretty crazy! Afterwards, we ate with the Pedersen family. They have two sons (still at home at least) who are super cool! They're Kevin (16) and Lukas (12 or 13) and they're really tight with missionaries! Also, the mom, Marie Halene (questionable spelling) is from Seychelle islands in Africa! They're awesome! We got some knocking in and then did some last minute Weekly Planning. It was pretty crazy!

Spiritual Thought: I'm sure you all have thought spiritually this week, but if you want any more please read Elder Ballard's talk called "The Essential Role of Member Missionary Work." Here's just a little quote I liked: "Now we might ask why there was such great success in those days, and the answer may be because of the urgent need to strengthen the Church. Let me assure you that the same urgency in all units of the Church is every bit as critical today as it was then." I feel like sometimes we don't realize the impact we personally can make just because we haven't done everything we can yet. So try to get closer to giving your all so you can see the harvest! In God's work, no effort is wasted!! (1 Corinthians 15: 58)

Have a wonderful week! I'll enclose some delightful photos for you to browse.
