Title Translation: "Our last week"
It's super weird knowing that I
won't be in the US in just a couple days. It's basically the only thing getting
me through these last long days here in the MTC, but also the most terrifying
thing ever. It'll be a very different world with a whole new kind of people.
It'll basically be the best and scariest thing I've ever done. :)
This week has been good though! I
don't feel like a ton has happened, but it's been fairly eventful. Ældste
Wright and I teach our last "investigator" lesson this Saturday with
Jesper (Bror Bateman) and we're pretty confident that he'll actually commit to
a solid baptism date. Our last lesson with him was really good! We both
testified of the importance of baptism by immersion and he said he would
specifically pray about it and priesthood authority. I'm excited to hear what
he finds! We also 'texted' Elise (Sister Reed) because we don't teach her
again, but we had a scripture that helps on the exact thing she's struggling
with. We just drew a phone on a paper and wrote our message and then the next
day we had another note with a little Nokia flip phone saying she would read
it. It was hilarious! I enjoyed it!
We've also decided that all the
Apostles wanted to make it up to us our last two weeks because we've had three
come within a week of each other. This past Sunday, Elder Ballard came and
spoke about locking your heart. Then on Tuesday Elder Anderson spoke to us
about finding investigators, and especially young adults. Then he had his
grandkids run up and down every section and shake hands. So I shook Elder
Anderson's granddaughter's hand. I feel pretty special.
We also got our flight plans this
past Friday!! We get to leave the MTC at 3:50 in the morning! It's going to be
super fun! But we fly to New York, wait for 5 hours, and then fly straight to
Copenhagen. We'll land in Denmark at about 11 in the morning on Tuesday after
leaving Utah at 8:45 Monday morning. It's gonna be a party!
Sadly I'm still fairly sick. It was
super annoying last week during a specific lesson demonstration. Ældste Wright and I were being
taught by Sister Reed and Bror Curtis. I was so amazed that I could understand
everything being said. But I was coughing a lot and practically died when I
swallowed my cough drop. But I'm safe! So I guess that's good. Basically I feel
totally fine until I have random coughing fits for a half hour.
That's basically all from the Dane
Den here in Provo. We have a super exciting life filled with soccer, four
square, strange grammar rules, and random things that we do to try and
entertain ourselves. And they're usually things the branch presidency would
approve... But what can you expect from literally ten teenage boys cooped up on
a campus for a month and a half. Luckily they decided to move us out of the
classroom now. I just hope our pilot is ok with that. ;) It's all good though!
The weirdest thing is the next time I'll send an email out, it will be from
Denmark. I'm super excited!
Vi ses til jeg er i Danmark! (See
you until I’m in Denmark!)
