Fishers of Mennesker (or maybe Seals of Men?)

T'was a good week! We did missionary work and it was enjoyable! Kort sagt.

Monday, we went to the Fiskeri- og Søsfartmuseet (Fisheries and Maritime Museum) in Esbjerg. It was super fun! We played around with a lot of off shore oil stuff and then enjoyed the aquarium and seal exhibits!! It was pretty exciting! After that, we went knocking. We met a mother, who is named Mette. She has an 8 year old daughter, Nadia, who loves church! (Nadia literally goes regularly to church by herself!) But Mette said she would love to have us come and explain for her so she can answer Nadia's questions!! We're super stoked for our appointment!

Tuesday, we went out contacting where a lady nonchalant-ly (that's how this Danish computer says to spell it, so hopefully that makes sense) took a Mormons Bog and set up an appointment with us! That was a cool miracle! Then we had Ældste Bailey's bike decide to have problems as we biked out to knock, so we didn't get a lot done because of walking. We also had an eating appointment with Karen at the church. Jens Ole Byskov was there along with his "adopted" son (plejesøn, but I'm not sure what that translates too...) Rajesh! He's super cool! We talked a lot with him.

Wednesday was a busy day! We had District Council with the Zone Leaders, Ældste Schaffer and Ældste Maready, along with the Sister Training Leaders, Søster Peel and Søster Hall. It was really good! We talked more about thanksgiving and its power as we act. We then had a quick Blitz Splits where I got to work with Ældste Maready for the first time! It was really fun!

Thursday was interesting. We had a lot of contacting and knocking. We had Lars Kjær, a super cool member, come out knocking with us, which was quite fun! He seemed to enjoy it anyway. We found a couple people who took Mormons Bog and said we could come again, so that was good! After, we had an eating appointment with Charlotte, Ricky, and Tanja. Charlotte is a sweet member (who lives with schizophrenia) who is married to Ricky (non-member, bipolar) and Tanja is a lady who lived with them as she was homeless, but now the Sisters are teaching her and she's accepted a baptismal date. It was an interesting evening. Ricky is hard to understand, but is quite funny. There were definitely jokes that he made where we laughed, but had no clue what he said... But it was good food and good company!

Friday was basically all finding, which went well. We also had Coordination Meeting at Martin's. He's just basically the coolest. It's always fun with him, and he is really helpful!

Saturday was weekly planning and then finding!! We actually knocked into another family (mom and two sons) whose children really like religion! We taught her most of the Restoration and she was all ears! So we're going back to teach again this coming week!

Sunday was crazy busy! We had Christmas Choir practice at 8:30 and then a meeting after church, and then we missionaries had to practice singing for next week. So we were basically at the church forever. Afterwards, we went to Erik Houborg with the sacrament. Finally we got a bit of contacting in at the end, where we met a man named Eshein (no idea why it's spelled like that). He was currently trying to make it to Germany where his family lives. He's from Zambia and basically has been riding miracle after miracle to try and get to Flensburg. So we helped him get to the station and get a ticket and such. (Ældste Bailey gave him 300 crowns so he could afford a ticket.) Eshein said he'd give us a call when he made it there, so that would be cool! That was a fun experience!

Spiritually thinking, I was reading in Articles of Faith about the Fall. It struck me how important it really is to know that God is all knowing. He really did know that Adam and Eve would fall, therefore there was a plan. It's confusing to talk with people who claim that Adam ruined God's perfect world and yet still claim that God is all knowing. It is truly because our Heavenly Father knows us personally and perfectly, that we have a personal plan for our personal salvation. It does require specific things, but they cannot be accomplished without us taking charge of them. It's important and interesting for me to know that salvation is on a personal level.

I hope you all have a great week! Keep being wonderful!!
