Mom's Correspondence with Sis Mike Fonnesbeck

Hello Bro and Sis Fonnesbeck!
This is Ældste Jepsen's mom. I met your daughter-in-law, Rochelle while helping at the Jr High a month or so ago. As we chatted, it was so fun to hear she had in-laws serving in Denmark! Then she pulled up a photo from you on her phone and asked if I knew anyone...? Yep! There's my son's happy face, peaking over the table! (You had made them chocolate cake as a treat with playing games.) I didn't realize you taught at Davis High! That's also a fun connection for him. No wonder you are so fun, you are an expert being with teenagers. ;)

I can't tell you thank you enough for your service and support of our missionaries there. Ældste Jepsen speaks so highly of you both! He says how fun and sweet you are, and that the two of you are basically legendary in the mission!! He thinks he comes home around the same time you do. Do you know your release date? Rochelle told me she knew yours. We haven't heard anything yet for him. How fun it will be to have a Danish connection when he gets back to Kaysville. We'd love to meet you this summer too. You are from Kaysville, correct?

Thank you again for your sacrifice and dedicated service. Our missionaries are sure lucky to learn from, play, and serve with you both! We appreciate the joy you add to their time serving there!

Light the World!

With love,

Marilee Jepsen

Dear Sister Jeppson,

Oh I love this!!  Thank you so much for sending this email!  Your words are so precious to us!  We have so enjoyed our relationship with these wonderful missionaries. Your wonderful son is such a bright light here!  He is a wonderful young man. You have every right to be bursting your buttons with pride. He is a keeper!

He is always willing to help, always looking to make sure things are taken care of. All of his companions think the world of him. Thank you for sharing this amazing young man with the mission and with the people of Denmark.

Our return date has been moved up to June 15th because of the couple coming to replace us. We have to be out so they can move in. We were supposed to come home on the 8th of July. So sometime in that window we’ll be home.

I can’t wait to meet you. What a small world that you and my dear Rochelle would be working together at the junior high. I love it!

Take care. You’ve just made my day!  Thank you thank you!
Søster Fonnesbeck. (Mike)😊

Also from Sis Fonnesbeck on Dec 15th:
This was when the elders came over and met us at the sisters’ apartment to help put their new bike together ......in the rain!  Bless their hearts. Then we took them to lunch. We love these wonderful missionaries!
Take care....

And from Sis Fonnesbeck on Dec 17th:
We attended sacrament meeting in Esbjerg yesterday. The music was inspiring and filled with the Christmas spirit. Our missionaries added their voices to the beauty of the music!
