Make Denmark Happy Again!

This was a weekly week. I feel like that should make sense, but who knows at this point.

Monday was exciting! We were tasked with making Ældste Throckmorton's ankle hurt even though it hasn't been a problem for a couple weeks. So we walked. And by walked, I mean about 5 kilometers while contacting as much as possible in our area, therefore to the tip of Christianshavn to the bridge of Nyhavn. Then after walking all the way there, we walked in to Strøget to eat lunch and look at Rundtaarn with the Frederiksberg Elders. That was cool! It was a really pretty view, and it was just enjoyable with the fun mix of personalities. Both Ældste Moulton and Ældste McBride are super happy, fun loving, and respectful elders and just make simple things fun. So we took a lot of random pictures! Then we walked all the way home. So that was a rough total of 15 kilometers of walking. Our legs were very tired at that point.

Tuesday included less walking, but more soreness... We had some awesome members come out to help us though! We had a lesson planned with a lady in the middle of the day and we thought to ask a member we'd never met, Thomas. Within almost 5 minutes, he responded that he'd love to come! He's super cool! Sadly the lesson burned us and none of the stop by's worked out either, but we at least got to meet him and encourage him to church! Then that evening we went on splits with Branch President Olsen and Palle! It was super fun! We mostly stopped by less active members or members who needed some help. But we got to talk about how missionary work could improve and what we should focus on. Both of those brothers are very dedicated and awesome to work with! We had thought they only had an hour, but we ended working 2.5 hours with them! It was super fun!!

Wednesday was splits again!! This time, Ældste McKinnon and Ældste Gottfredson came from Bornholm and worked with us! I got to be with Ældste Gottfredson, which was super fun!! His just an awesome guy all around! We talked with quite a few cool people! We had a good talk with a man about Jacob wrestling an angel, and therefore introduced The Book of Mormon through Enos "wresting before the Lord." We also talked with a lady who dated a member and loved talking with us. She probably said 4 times that we would have some amazing children. Then later we had a lady from South America ask what she should do because we had a message about Christ. That was an awesome question!! So we had some pretty great contacts that day. So great that we had to eat pancakes for dinner! (Ældste Gottfredson's choice) But we don't have a table, so we ate on our bedroom floor! 'Twas hyggeligt!

Thursday was Zone Conference! That was pretty sweet! We had some awesome roll plays of Skype calls between Ældste Gottfredson and his companion, President Olsen, to his parents, Ældste and Søster Gleason. It was pretty awesome! We also discussed the importance of following the Spirit. We got home later that evening and did some contacting.

Friday was pretty normal. We did some good contacting and knocking, of which we met a super nice Middle Eastern lady. She kept calling for her 19 yr old daughter to come and meet us, but she never did. I also had another chance to speak Spanish with the lady from South America, but I couldn't think of the word daughter.

Saturday was about the same as Friday, but including weekly planning.

Sunday included teaching the youth Sunday School, which was pretty fun! Then we ate at Torben and Vicki Valgren's house with the Gleasons. Then we did some good knocking again!! It was a fun and busy day!!

Sorry I'm out of time to give a spiritual thought. I'd encourage you to read Come, Follow Me and the referenced scriptures because they give some good insight! We discussed sincere and Rameumptom prayers in our Sunday school class and I thought it was quite interesting.

Have a great week!!
