Sushi? Basically a lesson, right?

Last Monday, we had a scheduled appointment with our friend Chavalee who wasn't at home. She sent us the address of where we should meet her, which turned out to be a restaurant. But she didn't have much time to talk, so she gave us a bag of sushi to eat. She told us to share, so we called the Zone leaders to see if they wanted to come eat with us! Thus, we had an eating appointment with other missionaries! (During P-day time, don't worry.) I've quite officially eaten a significantly larger amount of sushi in Denmark than I have in the US. Other than that, Monday included Skyping home at the Wolfgramms, contacting, and such activities.

Tuesday was exciting! It was raining quite a bit, but we had service at Bob's house. He wanted our help cleaning out his gutters, which actually went very quickly because everything was wet! We got to talk a bit with him about what he's been reading in the Book of Mormon, so that was good. After that, we walked around to irritate Ældste Throckmorton's foot (which didn't work) until we ate with Josh and Hannah Keogh! It was official Pancake Tuesday, so we celebrated! Lemon juice and sugar on pancakes is actually really good!!

Wednesday was more walking! Because we didn't succeed the day before, we spent hours contacting before the appointment at the physical therapist's. But it worked, and now he's not sure what the problem actually would be, so that's fun. We had a Come, Follow Me study group that evening, but no one showed up because they were too busy/out of town. Better luck next week, I guess.

Thursday was splits! I went with Ældste Steffensen to Taastrup, which was really fun! We went contacting in Albertslund and Ordrup. We met some fun people and had some great conversations! Some new people who want to be taught is always a positive. Then we ate dinner with Binni and Kristina, some members in the Frederiksberg Ward. Binni is Islandic and Kristina is Danish, and they both speak their own respective languages to their children! It's super cool! (I've basically decided I want a bilingual family.) Their kids, Marcus (8), Amelia (5), and Lukas (newborn) are super cute and really fun to talk with. Ældste Steffensen is also just super fun to work with. It was a good day!

Friday included more splits, just in a shorter amount of time! We all went to the Frederiksberg Elders' area and had a Blitz Splits contacting around with the Assistants (Ældste Danielsen-Jensen and Ældste Owen). I got to go with Ældste Anderson, which was super fun! Some guy also grabbed his hand as he kind of waved to get his attention. It was hilarious. After District Council about obedience and commandments, Ældste Throckmorton and I made a pit-stop in KBH station to get my Rejsekort fixed. But they just remade the card for me instead.

Saturday was pretty normal. We did Weekly Planning and headed out to stop by the Venezualan family. But they weren't home, unfortunately. Then we just did some classic contacting.

Sunday was interesting. We had some fun visitors who only spoke English. I translated in Priesthood while Ældste Throckmorton went on splits to the Young Men and talked about missionary work. That was strange, but went well. After church, we went out to do some stop by's. After a couple, we felt very strongly, at the same time, to visit someone we hadn't thought about that day. But after biking down there, he wasn't home. So we ended up going back home and contacting around in the city like usual. We were able to contact and schedule with someone who was previously taught by the sisters, so that was cool! I'm still curious why we felt specifically to visit someone who didn't answer the door and wasn't home, as far as we could tell. But that's just trusting in the Lord for ya. :)

Spiritual Thought: I was reading in Mosiah about Abinadi where he is telling the priests of Noah why the Law of Moses really is important. It says:(verse 28) "And moreover, I say unto you, that salvation doth not come by the law alone; and were it not for the atonement, which God himself shall make for the sins and iniquities of his people, that they must unavoidably perish, notwithstanding the law of Moses." It reminded me of the changes that have recently occured. Sometimes we get caught up in doing "home teaching" where we forget the true purpose of doing it. In Priesthood on Sunday, Ældste Flake talked about Elder Gong's talk about the Campfire. We discussed that our position (close or far away) to the fire of faith can be dangerous. If we are too far away, we (spiritually) freeze. However, if we are too close, we can be (offended) burned. By being close to the Savior Himself, we'll be guided and understanding when changes come and require something different. The last days are here and are quickly coming to pass. So be prepared! (You're welcome to sing Lion King if something stirred inside you with that last line.)

Thanks for all the support! Keep enjoying life and have a great week!!
